2015 Wedding Industry Awards Regional Finalist

October 31st 2014
So so excited to announce that we have been shortlisted as regional finalists of the Wedding Industry Awards 2015. This year has been mega since establishing our business in 2013 as professional photographers! We’ve been invited to photograph one of the most beautiful cities in the world - Venice, got creative and frankly a little scared with birds of prey, worked with the most amazing creative teams on some epic inspirational shoots, had our work featured on some of the coolest blogs around including Rock My Wedding, Style Me Pretty, Love My Dress and Way Out Wedding…and as if this wasn’t enough we have been shortlisted for a ‘BEST’ photographer award which is just the icing on the cake to our fabulous journey of 2014! Thank you to all our lovely couples for your votes, they really do mean the world to us! Fingers, toes and everything crossed that we make it through to the finals! To win would be a massive honour but we are already winners to have the opportunity to do a job that we truly love…Jo & Julie xx

George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin Inspired Wedding

28th September 2014
As a tribute to the highly anticipated wedding of the year I thought I would reflect on the wonderfully magical city of Venice after my first time there earlier this year for Flora & Carlo’s styled bridal shoot. It’s not surprising that George Clooney & Amal Alamuddin chose Venice for their nuptials, it is undeniably the most mesmerising city I have ever visited! Known as the floating city, the surreal like lagoon separated by its many bridges and canals is steeped in so much beauty, architecture and art, it’s not difficult to see why the silver fox and his stunning and enormously talented bride would choose such a location. We were lucky enough to get a glimpse into the couples special day as George and Amal agreed to sell their photos to the highest bidder with the proceeds going to a human rights charity. I love it when celebrities use their status to raise money for charity and are willing to give us a glimpse into one of the most important and special days of their lives for the cause. The intimate ceremony took place at the £3000 per night Aman Canal Grande a 16th Century Palazzo situated on the canal. The palazzo is not dissimilar to the Ca’Sagredo hotel, also a palazzo dating back to the 18th Century and the location for Flora & Carlo’s inspiration session I shot in April with Weddings In Italy. Amal’s Oscar de la Renta gown was to die for and I’m pretty sure there was no expense spared when it came to planning the finer details. Check out some of the images from Flora and Carlo’s shoot and if you are inspired by them and dream of your very own George and Amal style wedding one day then please get in touch. We still have some available dates for destination weddings next year…Ti amo x
